Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce, in an effort to assist the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, are seeking the public's help in finding those responsible for several serious hunting violations.

On November 22, 2018 around 4:20 a.m., two unknown individuals driving a dark coloured pickup truck stopped adjacent to a property along Southgate Township Road 10 between Southgate Sideroads 13 and 15.

One of the individuals fired a high-powered rifle three times onto the property from the roadway, killing two young deer fawns. The landowner was awakened by the gun shots and scared off the individuals.  The two fawns were left in the field to spoil.

Night hunting, shooting from a roadway, and abandonment of wildlife are serious natural resource crimes.

If you have any information you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477; submit a secure Web-Tip by clicking here; or get the P3 Tips mobile app.  You won’t be asked to identify yourself, you don’t have to appear in court, and you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
