Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and the Hanover Police Service are asking for the public's help in solving the following break, enter, and theft.
On December 25, 2010 at approximately 1:30 a.m. three thugs forcibly entered the Hanover Tim Horton's which was closed for the Christmas holiday. The suspects located and stole the store's security safe and then carted it to a nearby street where they left the scene in an unknown vehicle. The safe is described as being 1 foot wide and 2 feet tall and was a gray lock box with push button combination numbers and a silver locking handle.
Surveillance cameras showed that during the theft all three suspects were wearing heavy winter clothing which included gloves, ski masks, and toques.
On December 26th a similar type of theft occurred at the Drive-Thru A&W on the east side of Owen Sound, however it's not known at this time if the two thefts are related.
